Tiger Aviation has Classrooms and Hangar workspace which allows us to offer any aspiring or qualified Engineer one-to-one training that helps towards the issue or extension of a Part 66 license. The Engineers at our Part 145 facility can supervise and assist with On-the-Job Training (OJT) which will be certified in the CAP 741 Engineer’s Logbook. In support of the AST Distance Learning Course, we are currently developing a one-to-one training presentation for each of the Modules required for the Part 66 license issue. This is to assist prospective candidates to help increase their practical understanding of all content after having completed the distance learning course in their own time.
Tiger Aviation (Engineering) Ltd, (TAEL), is an Approved Part 145 Organisation based at Shobdon Airfield in Herefordshire. TAEL has entered into an agreement with Air Service Training Ltd (Perth), (AST), to be able to offer a new EASA and UK CAA Part 66 Examination Centre at our World Class facilities here at Shobdon Airfield.

There is a free, high speed fibre broadband service, as well as several quiet rooms to allow for last minute revision. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits all add to the calming environment to give you the best chance at your important career exams.

There are also numerous local Bed and Breakfast facilities and plenty of Air BnB locations around the area which offer low-cost options if required
Please find below our full contact details and our location map to assist you in finding our Facilities. When arriving at the airfield, don’t enter the main visitors car park, continue to the end of the road and turn left. Please use caution and give way to aircraft as you drive past the Control Tower, then follow the signs for “Tiger Helicopters – Visitors and Deliveries” to our Main Reception.
